LENOVO IDEAPAD 530S 14IKB Laptop Review
Ideapad 530S Design
The Lenovo IdeaPad 530s-14IKB is a compact 14-inch sub notebook with a modern and simplistic design in four different colors. Full HD screen that is large enough to work on spreadsheets and presentations; it sports a polished aluminum finish and is also light enough to carry around.
LENOVO IDEAPAD 530S 14IKB Review
Despite its lower price, the processor can handle the playback of 4K video and advanced photo editing with software like Photoshop and Gimp. It can even be used to convert video footage between different formats. In fact, it even performs better in some processing tasks.
You get a backlit keyboard and a touchpad that is very responsive to swipes, taps, and gestures. And its webcam works well along with its Harman-branded speakers for Skype calls.
That said, there are some trade-offs: Movies are better enjoyed with earphones rather than its speakers that tend to sound harsh at times.
Connectivity
The IdeaPad’s connectivity is decent. One HDMI and two USB 3.0 Type-A and one USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-C port. An SD card reader can be found on the right-hand side.
LENOVO IDEAPAD 530S 14IKB Ports
the IdeaPad 530S does not support dual-band Wi-Fi and Windows Hello-based Face/fingerprint ID authentication. On the flip side, it comes with a fast charger that can give you an hour’s worth of service after a 20-minute recharge.
