Acer Aspire E15 E5-576-392H review
The Acer Aspire E15 (E5-576-392H) is a bargain laptop that delivers reliable product performance. Given its low price, mainstream users may be willing to overlook the laptop’s extra weight
Acer Aspire E15 (E5-576-392H) comes with an 8th-generation, dual-core Core i3-8130U processor 6GB of DDR3 RAM and a 1TB hard drive. For visuals, you get a 15.6-inch HD (1920×1080) display, integrated Intel UHD 620 graphics
Acer Aspire E15 stacks up nicely, perfect for web browsing, productivity applications, casual photo editing.
Design:
The E15’s etched lid looks understated and reasonably stylish, while the brushed aluminum finish of the palm rest looks pretty sharp. The laptop, as a whole, still feels reassuringly sturdy, complete with a stiff display that barely wobbled as I typed.
Acer Aspire E15 Design
Acer Aspire E15 is a removable bottom panel that gives you access to the RAM slots and drives bay, The laptop’s smooth black deck is made of chunky plastic, but a brushed metal texture gives it a deceivingly premium appearance, on the lid, is an offset chrome Acer logo.
Display, Graphics & Audio:
The Acer Aspire E15’s 15.6-inch display, Viewed straight-on—the screen looks reasonably sharp and vivid, perfectly adequate for browsing the web, editing Word documents
The display is also disappointingly dim; I had no trouble viewing the Aspire’s screen, but expect to squint if you’re using the laptop near a bright window or outdoors.
The Aspire E 15’s speakers are loud enough to fill a large room, but the overall sound quality is poor. But at least the audio was well-balanced and precise. The fact that the E15’s speakers sound decent at all is impressive, given the laptop’s price tag.
Web Camera Acer claims the 720p webcam in the top bezel of the display boasts HDR technology. The video looks so muddy that the image appears out of focus, if you can ignore the distracting graininess, the webcam captures a decent amount of detail
Keyboard, Touchpad and Pointing Stick
Acer Aspire E15 Keypad
The Acer Aspire E 15’s keyboard is comfortable to type on, but the keys should have more travel. Even with a number pad, the full-size keys are well-spaced.
The Aspire E15’s mid-size trackpad sits centered beneath the space bar, which means it’s somewhat left of center.
The Acer Aspire E 15’s trackpad is pretty much par smooth and responsive. It quickly reacted to a series of Windows 10 gestures, including pinch-to-zoom, a three-finger swipe upward to see all open tabs, and a four-finger tap to open the Action Center.
Performance
Acer Aspire E 15 offers an excellent price-to-performance ratio. The laptop had enough oomph to load 10 Firefox tabs with ease,
The Acer Aspire E 15 doesn’t have the chops to play the latest games. The integrated Intel UHD 620 graphics performance is suitable for a budget machine.
Ports
The Acer Aspire E 15 On the left side, you’ll find a USB 3.1 Type C port (up to 5Gbps), an Ethernet jack, a VGA port, an HDMI port, and a pair of USB 3.0 Type-A ports.
On the right side: A barrel-shaped charging port, the DVD tray, a USB 2.0 Type-A port, and a combo audio jack.
Battery Life, Durability and Security:
The Acer Aspire E 15’s battery life is strong for a budget laptop. It lasted 8 hours and 48 minutes in our test, which involves continuous web surfing over Wi-Fi at 150 nits of brightness and a 4K video using the stock Windows 10 video player.
